Major Arcana 19
The Sun
joyvitalityconfidence
Imagery and symbolism
A great sun with a face blazes across the sky, and below it a child with flowers in their hair rides a white horse with arms spread wide. The child carries a red banner, and sunflowers bloom above a gray wall behind. The child's unclothed figure stands for unguarded joy and pure confidence. Traditionally the Sun is the brightest card of the Major Arcana, representing success, vitality and moments when you shine just as you are. After the haze of the Moon, it is a time when everything can be seen clearly.
Upright
| My day | Today is full of bright energy. Make time to laugh with people you like, and celebrate even small wins. |
|---|---|
| Work | Your efforts are showing up as visible results. Share your ideas with confidence and you will get a good response. |
| Relationships & love | Time together feels joyful and easy right now. Expressing your gratitude cheerfully lets warm sunlight into the relationship. |
| What is on my mind | The worry may resolve more simply than you think. Instead of looking for the hard way, try the most honest and straightforward approach first. |
Reversed
| My day | Your mood may dip a little, but the sun is still behind the clouds. Even a short walk in the daylight can lift your spirits. |
|---|---|
| Work | Results may feel slower than you hoped. Listing what you have already achieved shows you have come further than you thought. |
| Relationships & love | You may have neglected sharing fun lately. Plan one light activity you can enjoy and laugh through together. |
| What is on my mind | Check whether comparing yourself with others is making your own light seem small. Shining at your own pace is more than enough. |
