Major Arcana 18
The Moon
Imagery and symbolism
A moon with a human face hangs in the sky between two towers, while a dog and a wolf howl up at it. In the foreground a crayfish crawls out of a pool, and a winding path runs between the towers toward distant mountains. Just as everything looks blurry by moonlight, the card traditionally represents uncertainty, dreams, imagination and feelings that lie beneath awareness. The tame dog and the wild wolf show the familiar and the unfamiliar sides of ourselves. An important message of the card is that even in the haze, the path keeps going.
Upright
| My day | You may feel a bit unsettled today. Do not jump to conclusions about uncertain things; put your energy into work that calls for imagination. |
|---|---|
| Work | There may be information that has not surfaced yet. Acting on confirmed facts rather than rumors keeps you steady. |
| Relationships & love | It is easy to worry by imagining things on your own right now. Asking directly about what you wonder is the fastest way to ease your mind. |
| What is on my mind | If a vague anxiety is growing, write the feeling down. Even a hazy worry takes on a clear size once it is in words. |
Reversed
| My day | Like fog lifting, something that confused you is slowly becoming clear today. Jot down the thoughts that come to you. |
|---|---|
| Work | Misunderstandings and unclear points are starting to clear up. Sharing what you have sorted out lets everyone see the same picture. |
| Relationships & love | It is a good time to bring hidden feelings into the open. An honest talk brings security in place of anxiety. |
| What is on my mind | You may realize your fear felt bigger than reality. Moving forward one confirmed step at a time reveals the path. |
Advice
Rather than waiting for everything to become clear, check what you can verify, one thing at a time.
If you separated your worries into facts and imaginings, what would you find?
